Why should I hire The Camus Quartet?
Will the musicians on the samples be the same ones at my event? What do the musicians wear? What does the group require at the event? There is a special piece of music I would like performed. Can you do that? Do we need to meet in person? How much time should I contract the string quartet for my ceremony? Why should I hire The Camus Quartet? Professional, punctual, and passionate. The quartet will listen to your needs, make helpful suggestions if you ask for them, and make you feel at ease in planning your event. Will the musicians on the samples be the same ones at my event? Yes. The members of The Camus Quartet have been playing together since 1997. Occassionally one of our players may be replaced when circumstances require them to attend another event. What do the musicians wear? Formal attire is the norm for most special events: Men - tuxedo, Women - black dress. Since most of our performances are in the desert southwest, appropriate attire can be worn for summer events. What does the group require at the event? Each of the players will need an armless chair, a space about 10 feet by 10 feet. During the summer months outdoor playing will require the musicians to be covered from the sun, not under a tree. If rain is forecast, then an indoor location will be required. There is a special piece of music I would like performed. Can you do that? The quartet has a large library of music that includes classical, pop, jazz, and rock. If they do not have a piece of music that you would like performed then you will be charged an additional $100 for every tune that you would like specially performed for your event. It takes several hours to arrange music for the quartet from a piano or guitar score (which the employer must provide), so this pricing is quite a bargain to you. Keep in mind that these arrangements do take time and the quartet prefers at least two weeks per request to ensure that the arrangement is of a very high quality. Do we need to meet in person? Not necessarily. The quartet has performed at every major venue in Tucson and is accustomed to dealing with clients that are short on time. Emails and phone calls are the methods of choice. If you require a member to meet with or prefer that an individual be present at a rehearsal, for example, then each appearance/ meeting is an additional $50. How much time should I contract the string quartet for my ceremony? This all depends on your event. The quartet does not prorate by the quarter hour or half hour. Most wedding ceremonies take about an hour (with prelude twenty minutes before the start). Parties or special events range from one to three hours, but it depends on your needs and budget. | ![]() |
